What if healing your relationship with your father (present or absent) could transform your life?
In a world shaped by patriarchal systems, the role of the father impacts on our lives. This is irrespective of whether he was present, absent, loving, violent, or indifferent. For women, the father-daughter bond leaves a deep imprint on how we see ourselves, how we relate to men, and how we walk with power and worthiness in the world. For men, the son-father bond leaves an equally deep imprint that impacts on our role as men in the society.
“Healing the Father Wound” is a seven week guided healing journey for individuals who are ready to understand and transform their relationship with their fathers in human or spiritual form. The offering integrates Indigenous wisdom about fatherhood, psychological trauma based healing modalities, sacred masculine reclamation, inner child integration as well as deep reflections and creative writing.
The father wound shows up in many forms: silence, absence, violence, control, abandonment, or hunger for love that you never had. Sometimes, father wound manifests itself through what your father did (commission) or what he did not do (omission). Whether your father is still alive or not, whether you are in contact or estranged, this process is about your own healing.
