My name is Mmatshilo Tumelo Motsei. I am an integrative healer, teacher, midwife, and facilitator. I accompany individuals and communities who are navigating profound life transitions. This can include pregnancy, birth, menopause, death, depression, relationship breakdown, identity rupture, loss of life purpose, or surrendering to the quiet knowing that something in you is asking for a different way of being.
To respond to multiple ways of being and knowing, my work weaves the following different modalities:
- Biomedical and psychological conception of the health and wellness
- African spiritual healing, including divination.
- Embodied expressions of trauma and healing
- Artistic and creative expressions
- Community land-based retreats
This approach is shaped by decades of struggling with my own healing as well as holding space for other people to heal their own wounds. These modalities are not applied as techniques. They are used to guide us to a place inside of us that needs attention, care, compassion and love.
