ONLY AVAILABLE FOR CORPORATE WELLNESS
Affectionately known as Kgali, I believe that I have been called to serve. It is the only way I can describe why put my heart on the line in the pursuit of freedom. It is a gift that demands that in this life, whatever I do and in whichever way I choose to do it, it must probe the human psyche in a way that is of service to humankind.
My career started at a leading corporate law firm and it was during this time that I began to appreciate that in most circumstances, only affluent communities have the opportunity for their rights to be considered by people who have the requisite knowledge, experience and impartiality required for one’s rights to protected.
Currently, I am a human rights lawyer and my specific focus is Intellectual Property and Gender Justice; and in this regard, I work with both women and men in finding solutions to eradicate gender-based violence (GBV).
I have worked on a few reported judgements and my most notable legal achievement is being part of a team of successful litigants in the Constitutional Court matter against the Minister of Police in respect of the extent of Police liability for negligent police work in GBV cases and the implementation of a victim-centred criminal justice system.
