My name is Dr Palesa Makhale-Mahlangu I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice. I hold a BA degree from Goshen College in Indiana (USA), a Masters in Personality Psychology from Howard University in Washington DC (USA) and perused a D. Lit Phil degree from Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg, South Africa. I recently completed my PHD in Psychology from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
I hold my culture and my people in high esteem. Thus, I have dedicated my life to uplifting and upholding my African heritage and spiritual roots. Cultural relevance and respect are paramount in my clinical work. Hence, it is a central theme in my book: “Phekolo: Afrocentric Healing of African Rape Survivors”. I am also the author of a poetry book title: Mbale (1988), 3rd Edition.
